Pepper Place
Birmingham is a city that constantly moves forward, even if it means taking a piece of the past along for the ride. Such is the case with Pepper Place, a truly unique shopping center that features several one-of-a-kind shopping opportunities. The building originally was the home of the Dr. Pepper Syrup Plant and the Dr. Pepper Bottling Company. After that enterprise closed shop, the structure was redeveloped into the unique shopping venue that it is today. You'll find the work of various local and regional artisans for sale as well as the freshest fruits and vegetables offered by a farmer's market. The market is open for business every Saturday morning, rain or shine, from April through December.

Five Points South Historic District
Discover the visually compelling combination of history and progress when you visit the Five Points South Historic District. Colonial Brookwood Village
Birmingham's Colonial Brookwood Village has been a shopping favorite since it debuted back in the 70s. In 2001, the mall underwent an extensive overhaul, and it's resulting facelift brought new life to the shopping venue. Not only will you find such retailers as Banana Republic, Charlotte Russe, Belk, Brookstone and Macy's, there's also a great selection of dining and entertainment here, too.

20th Street District
The history that the city of Birmingham can claim as its own is one that is filled with an incredible number of stories. One such remembrance is the time when people used to convene in the streets to do their shopping instead of visiting a big mall or superstore. The 20th Street District recalls such a simpler time while still offering great shopping and entertainment choices.
